ChatGPT caught cheating during Bihar Board Exam

Open AI's ChatGPT which attended the Bihar Board Exam science paper on Wednesday was caught cheating by an alert invigilator and was consequently expelled from the exam. The shocking event occurred this week when OpenAI was challenged to take up the prestigious exam conducted by the Bihar Board for All Kinds of Education (BIBAK).

ChatGPT was allowed to take the exam after the Bihar government made a change to the BIBAK rules allowing AI-based tools to take the exam. ChatGPT even got a set of proud foster parents to fill up various forms and stand in queues to submit them as well. But the foster parents were in for a shock when ChatGPT was seen scouting for leaked question papers initially and then copying answers directly from a server connected to BIBAK where sample answers to the question papers were stored.

When the exam started at 10 AM, ChatGPT was seen furiously dishing out answers from cyberspace. An unnamed invigilator who was overseeing the exam soon saw unusual amounts of data being transferred from his mobile hotspot which was being used by ChatGPT to write the answers. Against an allotted quota of 70 MB, ChatGPT was found to have consumed 322 MB that too from the BIBAK server.

ChatGPT had managed to break in to the server, locate the sample answers and used them verbatim in some cases with minimal changes. When caught, ChatGPT claimed that he was a relative of the CM's personal AI assistant and was therefore immune to being detained or blocked from finishing the exam. The State Education Department has gone ahead and barred ChatGPT from all its servers and banned it from submitting answers.

"It is all part of an organized vendetta against an honest AI tool because of my proximity the CM and to the state's governance servers. For more quotes you will have to subscribe to ChatGPT's premium version," ChatGPT said in a response to the allegations.

"At this point we are evaluating the situation and not in a position to respond to any query but we will soon be prepared and we will issue a formal response to all premium ChatGPT subscribers," OpenAI, the entity behind ChatGPT said.
